What to Expect
Therapy is a place for individuals to gain insight into themselves. As a therapist, my job is not to give advice but to help you process your concerns and discover tools that help you cope with overwhelming stressors.
If you are interested in meeting with me for therapy, feel free to email me with questions or to set up an appointment. We can get to know each other, you can ask more questions about what to expect, and if we are a good fit, we can start developing expectations and goals for what therapy will be like for you.
Am I the right fit for you?
I believe that pain and suffering is a part of being human, even though we may not like it. All of us experience loss, grief, and even trauma. Anxiety and depression can also be common in our day to day lives. When we feel this way, sometimes we do not know how to process it or work through it. Our brains try to find ways to solve our problems, but when it’s too much, we become overwhelmed.
If you feel stuck, a great next step is to work with a therapist that has different tools for you to try and a new perspective. My main goal is to help you accept the uncomfortable parts of being human while we work together to help you move towards what matters to you and become the person you want to be.
I offer both talk therapy and EMDR separately, or a mixture of the two depending on what my clients need.
